I am a person that lives in a town and does things in places. I enjoy doing stuff, but always like to try something new. Occasionally I take photos.
I’m also an historian and museum professional based in Nova Scotia with many years’ experience in interpretation and education. Add to that my love of all things needlework, chickens, and built heritage and you have someone that could dominate you on certain portions of the Trivial Pursuit game board.
So What Sew Buttons is a spring/summer challenge to myself to put my sewing machine to good use and create something I’ve always wished I’d had – a Victorian day dress. Feel free to follow along as I document my (mis)adventures!
*Due to the success of this little project, I have decided to continue the thread (pun!) and create both a men’s ensemble, as well as an evening gown. Stay tuned!
